Johor Bahru, the Shenzhen of Singapore, or is it the Haadyai instead? Geographically we are one, so near, and yet politically, so far. "Prosper thy neighbour," proclaims one senior politician and then promptly attempts to pulverize its neighbour with water issues, air space issues, sand issues, and what have you. Yet we must accept that crooked is scenic to some, for if a crab can walk sideways believing it to be the most graceful and the most gracefulest gait, who are we to say that it is not. So let us agree to disagree.
