Tan Cheng Hung was the kangchu and Kapitan China of Kangkar Tebrau in Johor during the 1870s. The adopted son of Tan Kee Soon, he inherited the two positions but did not succeed to the leadership of the Ngee Heng Kongsi of Johor which was assumed by Tan Hiok Nee.[1]
